30 Days of Reno

On November 1st, Matt Dean Pettit got the keys to his first restaurant at 110 Ossington. Exactly one month later, he opened the doors to Rock Lobster Food Co. What happened between those days was a cosmetic overhaul that transformed the old Watusi space into a modern Canadiana seafood spot.

Luckily, Pettit knows a lot of crafty people who helped him remodel the place in such a short time. His friend, cook and carpenter Chris Vasco made the wooden serving boards. Bartender Josh Lindley created all new cocktails, including a Lobster Caesar. Pettit’s Dad painted the restaurant’s focal point mural, seen as soon as you walk in the doors. So in only 30 days a new resto was born on the Ossington strip.

Check out the photo gallery below for a look at the renovation process through to finished product as well as a peak at the seafood focused menu.

Rock Lobster is currently open for dinner from 5pm to late. Follow on Twitter for the latest info: @RockLobsterFood
