ABOUT
Brilynn Ferguson is a photographer with more than 14 years of experience creating images for restaurants, beverage brands, publishers and the hospitality industry.
Her path to photography has been anything but conventional. Before picking up a camera professionally, she earned a degree in Physical Education & Health, completed Culinary Training and worked in professional kitchens and later pursued post-graduate studies in New Media Journalism. Those experiences continue to shape the way she works today, combining technical skill, visual storytelling and an insider’s understanding of hospitality.
While food and beverage photography remains her primary focus, Brilynn’s work has led her into a wide variety of environments. She has photographed in restaurant kitchens, concert venues, distilleries, gold mines and gyms, documenting the people and stories found within each.
Her photos have appeared in 6 published books:
The Edgy Veg Easy Eats by Candice Hutchings (Robert Rose)
Liv B’s Vegan On A Budget by Olivia Biermann (Robert Rose)
The Edgy Veg Cookbook by Candice Hutchings (Robert Rose)
Feeding Hannibal: A Connoisseur's Cookbook by Janice Poon (Titan)
Beerology by Mirella Amato (Random House)
The Great Lobster Cookbook by Matt Dean Pettit (Random House)
Outside of client work, Brilynn spent more than a decade documenting tattoo culture within the hospitality industry through an ongoing portrait project called, Industry Ink.
Whether photographing a cookbook, a restaurant opening, a brand campaign or the people behind it all, Brilynn brings curiosity, professionalism and a genuine appreciation for the industries she photographs.
